Warnings
a) The figures shown in the "TECHNICAL DATA SHEET/CERTIFICATE OF QUALITY" refer to specimens collected from the perpendicular surface in the direction of expansion of the product during reaction and at a distance from the external surfaces exceeding 20% of the height of the production casting.
b) We recommend the user to cut the foam so that when in use this is stressed in a direction parallel to the direction of expansion.
c) The figures and information contained in this document and in the single Technical Specifications and Technical Data Sheet/Certificate of Quality are based upon the information available at the date of issue (or subsequent updates).
d) No guarantee can be given concerning the sufficiency of the suggested recommendations in this document, nor can it be excluded that other or further measures might be required in particular or exceptional circumstances.
e) The user must assure himself of the relevance and comprehensiveness of the information regarding the individual use to be made.
f) In the case of ignitability according to the contents of Schedule 1 Part I of "The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988, as amended in 1989 and 1993, BS 5852 Part 2: 1982, source 5: this test requires the verification of resistance to fire of the padding when used in conjunction with a standard 100% polyester flame retardant fibre (the complete characteristics of this fibre can be found in Schedule 1, Part 1); this trial is normally required for application in the ³DOMESTIC² sector. We wish to stress that the class of the padding when used in conjunction with other grades of fabric can only be attributed to the complete package of products comprising the article (foam+fabric+any interposed material); this trial is normally requested for application in the ³CONTRACT² sector (BS 7176: 1995). Sometimes, this conjunction can lead to major differences with respect to the fire resistance of the padding with the above-mention standard fabric. We therefore invite the customer to use the material only after checking that the article conforms to the required behavioural characteristics as regards fire.
g) In the case of ignitability according to UNI 9175 (1987) UNI 9175/FA1 (1994), the product¹s class may be attributed only to the complete package of products comprising the article (foam+fabric+any interposed material). Sometimes, this can lead to major differences with respect to the fire resistance of the single constituent elements. We therefore invite the customer to use the material only after checking that the article conforms to the required behavioural characteristics as regards fire.
